About Burgess & Harper Funeral Directors
Burgess & Harper was founded in 1994 in Penn Road, Wolverhampton.
The team at our Wolverhampton funeral home will provide advice at every stage of the funeral planning process, and will arrange an individual and unique funeral to help you celebrate the life of your loved one. We have our own on-site service venue.
Here at Burgess & Harper Funeral Directors we also offer an affordable prepaid funeral plan, Choice, so that you can arrange and pay for a funeral in advance. This will protect your family from rising costs and remove uncertainty about your wishes.
If you would like to talk to us about planning a funeral, or our Choice plan, please come and see us in any of our funeral homes, or if you’d rather we can arrange a home visit. We’re also available 24 hours a day on the phone so if you need anything please don’t hesitate to call your local funeral home.
Meet the Team
Senior Funeral Director
Over recent years it has been my privilege to oversee the funeral arrangements and conduct the funerals for many families. Families return to us time and time again and from our first meeting we build a bond that forms lasting friendships and extends our family.
Being entrusted by the previous owners Ken Burgess & Peter Harper to conduct my first funeral and having the confidence in me to respect and continue the level of personal care that the Burgess & Harper family founded the business on. With Funeral Partners I am able to continue and enhance our original traditions.
I love all sports, especially rugby, which I used to play in my younger days, now I confine myself to being a spectator.
What I like most about my job
Meeting the families and learning about the person that has passed – it is a privilege.
Enjoying life to the full.
My role as a funeral arranger every day is different, it can be very busy. I get to meet all sorts of people – doctors , registrars, ministers and I talk to lots of people on the telephone.
It is a very rewarding job and the day always seems to go very quickly.
The most satisfying thing is when we get cards from families as a thank you. Then you know that you have done a good job.
Being able to look after my mother in law when she suddenly passed I did all her hair and make-up and also arranged all the funeral.
As a mum I always keep busy with family time holidays trips but I do manage some me time and I travel with friends.
I have worked in the funeral Industry for four years in my role as a funeral arranger I find the position a very rewarding and a privilege to help the families at their most vunerable time in their lives.
In my spare time I spend a lot of time with my two grandsons, reading and socialising with friends.
We take pride in everything we do. Our aim is that everyone who works for Funeral Partners shares our values.
Our business exists to help the bereaved to make fitting arrangements for their loved one’s last journey and to provide lasting memories for family and friends.
We do this with a positive, caring and understanding approach.
